MISSISSIPPI CHAPLAINS ASSOCIATION
Chaplain Jeffrey Murphy (Center), a University of Mississippi Medical Center staff chaplain located in Jackson, Mississippi, who serves as the president of the Mississippi Chaplains Association is the 2007 recipient of the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) Outstanding Local Leadership Award. This was a direct result of the efforts he extolled by following up and ministering to the chaplains in the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. He recently received his award at the annual APC conference in San Francisco.
Chaplain Murphy also serves as the APC state representative for Mississippi.
